Latest News The U of M Club of the Greater Manistee Area is proud to sponsor the University's award winning Solar Car and Team in the Manistee 4th of July Parade! Please show your support of this terrific program by not only attending the parade, but visiting with the team after the parade. Arrangements have been made with the parade organizers to have the car and team located for viewing after the parade is over. They will be located at the north entrance of theSorry to report that the Wine Tasting Scholarship Fund Raiser has been cancelled. The complications with the Alumni Association, the Liquor Control Commission and the local police became overwhelming. We need to recognize, however, the extensive efforts of Dave Wild to make it a reality. He put in lots of hours and thought before regretfully making the recommendation to cancel for this year. Several local club members (Ellen Kearns, Baldwin and Jan Newman-Graham, Manistee) will attend the Alumni Training Session in Ann Arbor in June. Our local Manistee Area Club has again won the Outstanding Club Award for Region 2 of the Alumni Association. (Region 2 is a virtual regions comprised of clubs of similar size.) Shown is Past President Jan Newman-Graham accepting the award from Cindy Zimmerman of the Association. The award also comes with a $500.00 grant for club activities.
